LAND SURVEYING for Florida Development
Today’s modern technological approach to surveying
still relies on principles laid down through English common law and has evolved
over centuries. Through modern technology, we now measure and quantify land
areas and perform a much greater range of land surveying services through the
use of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) that relies on earth orbiting satellites
to gain exactitude of horizontal and vertical measurement, as well as enhanced
photographic imagery of our Earth’s land masses.
Using all of the tools available today, mixed with
trained professionals and established scientific procedures, we at American
Heritage Land Surveying and Mapping, Inc. are proud to continue the tradition of
providing the finest and most dependable land surveying and mapping services to
meet the exacting demands of accurate, dependable and timely delivery of field
data to identify and quantify land destined for Florida development as a PUD,

We routinely work with our in-house civil design
engineers of American Heritage Engineering of Florida, Inc., as well as
engineering colleagues from consulting firm throughout Florida to integrate the
process of data collection used by our civil design counterparts for site
permitting. Our equipment and software includes the state of the art in RTK GPS
technology, the Topcon HiPer XT, dual constellation GPS+GLONASS System. Our
wireless Data Collectors, the Topcon FC-100 increases efficiency, allowing for
fewer field personnel.

Surveying is the process by which a surveyor measures certain dimensions that generally occur on the surface of the Earth. This information is crucial to convert the data into a graphical representation of the Earth's surface, in the form of a map. This information is then used by civil engineers, contractors and even realtors to design from, build on, and trade, respectively. Elements of a building or structure must be correctly sized and positioned in relation to each other and to site boundaries and adjacent structures.
